Making Space for Pollinators with Jerry Schneider

When: Thursday, August 12th at 6:00pm

Where: Outside at the Adams Council on Aging at 3 Hoosac Street in Adams.

For children of all ages. Registration is required. To register call the library at (413) 743-8345.

Get acquainted with some of our local pollinators, featuring bees, bats, hummingbirds, beetles, dragonflies, and butterflies, important critters that help pollinate orchards, back yard gardens, and rainforests. Audiences learn how to create and maintain pollinator habitat. After the presentation, children will create pollinator T-shirts, using a combination of fabric dye sprays, plants, and butterfly, bat and dragonfly cut outs. Bring your own T-shirt or purchase for $4.00.

Library events are free and open to the public. Children under 8 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Attendance at library programs constitutes consent to be photographed; photos may be used in print or electronic publicity for the Adams Free Library.
