This informal virtual talk will cover the basics of setting up a home aquarium, including sorting out the initial required equipment, understanding the Nitrogen cycle, learning best practices for fishkeeping and care, and managing aquarium ecology. Both freshwater and saltwater aquariums will be discussed, with an emphasis on freshwater due to its accessibility to new hobbyists. The content covered will be of most interest to newcomers and those considering getting into the hobby.
Presenter Jonathan Rainey has been developing his own home aquariums for the past five years, creating numerous complex freshwater and saltwater aquariums.
