Tips for a Successful Virtual Interview

Tips for a Successful Virtual Interview – A Free Virtual Workshop will be offered online on Wednesday March 24, 2021 from 12:00 – 1:30 P.M. as part of our New Year: New Job series.  Click here to register.

The interview is one of the most important parts of the job search process. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic many companies began implementing phone and video interviews as part of the hiring process.  Now, virtual interviews have become commonplace in remote hiring.  A virtual interview, or video interview, is a job interview that leverages video technology to allow the discussion to take place remotely, rather than meeting face-to-face. Join Gary Gekow, an employment specialist and career coach to learn more about how to be successful with your next virtual interview.

The workshop will cover:

  •  Ideal locations and conditions for conducting a virtual interview
  •  Importance of body language
  •  Virtual interview technology overviews
  •  Appropriate dress codes
  •  Strategies to build self-confidence

About the presenter:

Gary Gekow is a Senior Employment Specialist and Career Coach with 30 years of recruiting and employment services experience in the New England staffing industry.  He partners with job seekers across a wide range of specialties and assists with a variety of employment search strategies including resume creation, interview coaching, LinkedIn profile branding and career counseling.

This program is free and open to the public, but space is limited and registration is required.  To reserve your free spot, please register online at https://peabodylibrary.assabetinteractive.com/calendar/resume-writing-and-review-with-gary-gekow-2/

This program is made possible through CARES Act funding to the Federal Institute of Museum and Library Services as administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
