To celebrate 100 years of suffrage, the Lawrence Library is hosting Suffragettes and Corselettes, a program by the Grounded Goodwives. This program will untangle the amazing connection women’s suffrage had to underwear! Like burning the bra, social change often has deeper roots within all aspects of our culture and the 18th, and 19th centuries were no different! Please feel free to join our presentation.
