Online Workshop Series with artist/activist Chelvanaya Gabriel

Email tiltonlibrary@cwmars.org to register & receive Zoom link.

Mon 10/11, Indigenous Peoples Day, 5-6:30pm

Reflecting on Current & Ancestral Land Stewardship

You will be led through both creative and contemplative practices before small group sharing and dialoguing as a large group. We will collectively explore what medicine we can create, through our actions, to address harm done to local Indigenous communities, currently and historically.

Sun 10/17, 3-4:30pm

Reflecting on Personal & Community Identity

Explore personal and community identity, diversity, inclusion and equity – all based partly on intergroup dialogue principles of communicating across difference, creating shared meaning and building trust. We will do this through creative expression and contemplative practice in both small and large group sharing “circles.”

Take One or Both Workshops. LIMITED TO 25 STUDENTS PER WORKSHOP.

No artistic experience necessary. Use what you have on hand to create.

Funded by the Deerfield Cultural Council & Friends of Tilton Library
